Boston — The iconic and popular Sullivan’s Castle Island restaurant is open for business again.

The seasonal eatery in South Boston reopened for the 2023 season on Saturday after closing on November 21, 2022.

Opening day at Sullivan’s is a sign that spring is coming, but the first of the year’s customers had to deal with freezing conditions.

“Despite the cold temperatures, locals still come to get their hands on our classic menu items such as burgers, hot dogs, fries, lobster rolls, clam chowder, chicken fingers, onion rings, and more,” a reads the post on Sullivan’s Castle Island Facebook page.

Last year’s season opening day in Sullivan also felt a big cold, when a storm the day before brought 8.5 inches of snow to Boston Logan International Airport.

Sullivan’s has a second location that’s open year-round in North Station’s Hub Hall on Causeway Street, but one could argue that’s not as spectacular as its flagship outdoor location next to Pleasure Bay, which features Boston’s wider There are scenes. Port.

The owners of Sullivan’s have announced that they will be opening a location at Hanover Crossing in March. The Hanover location will offer South Shore Bar Pizza alongside Sullivan’s Classic Foods.
