The Pittsburgh Steelers got great news about Minkah Fitzpatrick as the star safety was released from the hospital after being evaluated for a chest injury he suffered in Week 2 against the Cleveland Browns.
Fitzpatrick left with an injury in the second half of the game and head coach Mike Tomlin later confirmed that he was taken to a local hospital for further testing. According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Fitzpatrick was released the same night after being examined for a chest injury.
All scans came back negative.
It is unknown whether Fitzpatrick will miss time due to injury. The Steelers have a short week after playing Monday night, but they will still get through three practices and walk-throughs before heading to Las Vegas in Week 3.
