One of Hollywood’s biggest nights just got a little smaller this year.

After more than two decades on television, the 29th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will air live online this weekend. “Everywhere at Once” is up for five nominations, including genre and Irish comedy Inisheri’s Banshee, Best Actor (SAG’s Best Picture Oscar equivalent). Ensemble nominees include Steven Spielberg’s personal family drama The Fabelmans, as well as the star-studded ensembles of Babylon and Women Talk.

The SAG Awards will be broadcast live on Netflix’s official YouTube channel Sunday (8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST). The upcoming show will air live on Netflix starting in 2024, after airing on TBS and TNT for the past 25 years. The event will be held at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles. No hosts have been announced for the 2021 and 2022 non-host awards.

According to experts at the GoldDerby awards site, “Everything Everywhere” won the unanimous choice of Best Actress, putting it in pole position come Oscar night. Also, Cate Blanchett is expected to pick up her career-defining Best Actress pick for “Tar,” but look for beloved Michelle Ohoh as a strong potential spoiler.

Despite the recent setbacks for the Banshee star at the British Academy Film Awards, Angela Bassett (“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”) and Kae Hugh Kwan are still favored to win the SAG Best Supporting Actress and Best Supporting Actor awards respectively. It’s a three-way race for Best Actor between Colin Farrell (“Banshees”), Brendan Fraser (“The Whale”) and Austin Butler (“Elvis”), but the latter has it after his BAFTA and Golden Globe wins.
