Suzanne Somers, Star of Three's Company, Is Dead at 76

The actress passed away "peacefully at home" surrounded by loved ones, PEOPLE confirms

Suzanne Somers, best known for her roles in Three's Company and Step by Step, has died.

Somers died Sunday morning, People confirmed. She would have turned 77 on Monday.

She survived an aggressive form of breast cancer for more than 23 years," said Somers' longtime publicist R. Kauri Hay wrote in a statement shared on behalf of the actress's family.

The statement continued, "Suzanne was surrounded by her loving husband Alan, her son Bruce and her immediate family."

“His family had gathered to celebrate his 77th birthday on October 16. Instead, they will celebrate her extraordinary life, and thank her millions of fans and followers who loved her so much.

In a separate statement, Hay also told People that the "beautiful home" where Somers spent her final moments was "one of her dreams."
